Breast Cancer Awareness Month
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month - an annual campaign that aims to educate the public on the importance of early screening, testing and treatment for breast cancer. Activities include raising research funds to help identify the cause, uncover potential prevention strategies, and improve diagnosis, in addition to offering support to people impacted by the disease.
Reading for adult resident has scientifically been proven to reduce stress and enhance sleep to improve memory circuits.

Le'Kar understands that while an individual stays in a nursing home they are more than a patient they are a person. A person that needs people and activities to make their stay from comfortable to enjoyable.
Through our link with companions we aim to make patient's residence as enjoyable and enriching as possible.
We accomplish this via a healthy buffet of programs and services. Nursing home residents come to rely on our services as they compliment what is provided by the facility. Companions provide compassion and connections to the world outside of their regular caregivers.
